Television station covers officials’ high profile visit to factory
China 7th February 2018: today Williams Refrigeration (Dongguan) Ltd welcomed senior government officials from China’s Food and Drug Control Department. Their visit was to highlight the Williams factory being chosen as an ‘outstanding example’, for the quality of welfare facilities and workplace canteen it provides to its staff. During the visit, the officials presented an ‘A Grade’ food hygiene and safety award to Williams.
The high profile visit was also covered by a regional China Television station for its daily news feature.
The visit was hosted by Williams’ HR Manager, Mr Bruce Wu, who is also responsible for the overall management of staff health, safety, training and welfare.
The Williams China factory is highly regarded for its workplace conditions and is accredited to ISO 9000 / 14000/ 22000 and OHAS 18000. It has also been awarded a High Class certification for workplace conditions under an independent audit carried out by Intertek. The Williams China production facilities are of equal market leading standard, with the engineering, test and production facilities accredited to QS and CCC approvals, and its extensive product range also certified to a number of international product conformity standards
Williams is part of the AFE Group and CEO Tim Smith was delighted by the news. “Williams China has built a highly successful business, a major part of which has been the management team’s excellent commitment to staff welfare and working conditions,” he says. “I’m sure everyone will join me in congratulating them on their achievements.”
